Tony Curtis was Buried Yesterday

Heard a memorable comment Tony Curtis made in Las Vegas years ago. Walking to the podium and recognizing a number in attendance with mafia connections, he commented: "I don't know what I'm doing here. I haven't killed anyone." His faltering attempt at humor met with dead silence from those for whom it was intended. He had transgressed. He had failed to understand that everybody outside the "household of faith" has standards, principles, morality, that special something to get into heaven i.e., every bodies got "religion."

For most it is a "form of godliness" (cf. 2Timothy 3:5), or a time as in Judges when "every man did that which was right in his own eyes" (cf. Judges 21:25 ), or "a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death" (cf. Proverbs 14:12).
